MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Marco Antonio Periban (20-1-1, 13KOs) and undefeated Badou Jack (15-0-1, 10KOs) fought to a ten round draw in their NABF super middleweight title fight. The scores were 96-94 for Periban, and two cards of 95-95 for the draw.

Periban started fast, throwing a lot of punches to the head and especially the body. Jack was defensive and looking for openings. Jack was finding a home for his punches in the second and doing well in the third. In the fourth, Periban suffered a bad looking cut above his right eye. Periban came out strong in the fifth, working hard and landing a good amount of his shots to the body. The seventh was close with Periban outworking Jack, who landed some good punches of his own.

Im tired of fighters getting rewarded for ineffective aggression. Periban lost, I had it 7-3 or 6-4 for Jack.

A draw was the right call.

Jack is going to learn a lot from this fight and will be even better his next time out. His defense is good; just needs to work on his offense and throw more punches.

Jack won, on my card. Periban missed all night, he threw a lot, but only landed solid rarely. Jack smacked him flush in all the rounds and nullified Periban's blunted activity. It was much closer than the Burns fight, closer than a bunch, but I'm losing my voice yelling robbery, so a draw will work.

Jack won but I did think he stayed inactive in the pocket way to long at times without countering or anything so even when Periban wasn't landing it appeared that he was depending on the angle judges were watching at ringside they see the fight differently. but Jack stayed in range waay too much and was super inactive early that's what happens in 10 round fights had it been 12 rounds Jack would of got the nod no doubt an he was fighting like it was a 12 rd fight they way he gave those early rounds up..

                  Perbian clearly won this, 8-2

Not a hard fight to score.

I had Jack the winner by 2 rounds, 2bad the Vegas judges, as usual, were not watching...no state has poorer judges...
