One thing I like about Chavez is that he will fight anybody. I remember when they said he was ducking Martinez, no Bob was ducking Martinez. Anyway I expect JR to win this fight and go ahead and cash out vs Ward or Golovkin in 2014 and I actually give the kid a punchers chance vs either. Chavez has enough power to KO pretty much anybody when he turns up. -
Are you guys serious? James Kirkland schooled this kid! He was dropping his hands and clowning him. Vera is utterly rubbish, got a rip off win against MoraLeave a comment:

Im excited for this fight. I hope Chavez challenges GGG after this fight or Martinez to set the record straight.Leave a comment:

This fight will be a straight up brawl, surprisingly it could be a contender for fight of the year. Both guys will be slugging it out until Chavez puts Vera away around the 5th or 6th round.Leave a comment:

Maybe the loss has motivated Jr. It would be nice to see him take on Golovkin.Leave a comment:

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. speaks from experience when he says he expects a very difficult fight against Bryan Vera.
Chavez (46-1-1, 32 KOs, 1 NC) and Vera (23-6, 14 KOs) sparred against each other nearly three years ago, before Chavez went on to win the WBC middleweight title from Germany’s Sebastian Zbik in June 2011. Those rough rounds remind Chavez that he’ll encounter a determined opponent who knows full well he can change his life by upsetting the son of Mexico’s most beloved boxer when they square off Sept. 28 at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
