The fight between champion WBO junior lightweight champion Roman 'Rocky' Martinez (27-1, 16 KO's), and mandatory challenger Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia (32-0, 27 KO's), is still being negotiated for a planned date of November 9th in Texas. The two sides are still at odds over the financial split. According to sources in Puerto Rico, Martinez is only being offered about $300,000 for the fight, with Garcia receiving far more. If the fight goes to a purse bid, then Martinez will receive a bigger portion of the money. Negotiations are expected to resume upon completion of the WBO's ongoing convention in Budapest, Hungary.
