For me it's not so much about who he beat, it's more how he beat them.
Usually you can just say the results speak for themselves, like say Joe calzaghe, but with Floyd it's how he achieved the results.
In almost all of Mayweather's fights he wins so one sidedly. Now I've seen that a thousand times with British prospects in their first 15 or 20 fights against journeymen coming in at a days notice to build their record.
With Mayweather though he has continued to do it at world level. It's almost unheard of for a champion at world level to make his fights so uncompetitive, so often. He is just too good for all the guys in and around his division. And that is weird and I don't really understand it,all but one or two of his fights haven't even been close. That is strange, unusual in boxing and a testament to his ring craft as a master boxer.
That's why he is absolutely top 10 ATG in my book.Comment

He's just not, at all, or even close. Has nothing to do with talent or skills or anything like that, but when you look at the fighters given that kind of recognition, Mayweather's career does not even come close to matching up.Comment

It's your list so you can put them as high as you want to. I rated Floyd as better than Whitaker but not in the top ten of all time. I will rate Floyd higher if he beats Canelo but I don't think he will beat Canelo. Floyd has not defeated the best fighters when they were at their best for me to rate him so high.Comment

In terms of talent, I would have to say yes. His accomplishments put him somewhere between 20-40 for me.Comment
