World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman disputes recent reports that WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura is hospitalized with numerous injuries. On Saturday night in Cancun, Miura dropped Sergio Thompson two times to win a twelve round unanimous decision. Miura survived his own knockdown in the eight round.

After the match, Miura was vomiting and taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
