It was recently announced that "Showtime" Shawn Porter (21-0-1) will return to the ring on September 12th against Julio Diaz (40-8-1). The fight will be a rematch of their split draw that took place this past December in Los Angeles, CA.

Porter is currently in the middle of his training camp and said that he is excited to have a chance to avenge the only blemish on his near spotless record.

"We are working extremely hard. We are excited and we are ready to take this fight head on man," Porter stated.

Diaz last fought in April when he lost an unanimous decision to Amir Khan. Diaz dropped Khan in the 4th round and had the Brit on shaky legs on more than a few occasions. Porter insists that he didn't overlook Diaz in their first fight and said that he definitely won't be looking past him on September 12th. I always thought Porter was going to be Broners first title defense. He's got some tools. He's ranked top 5 by the WBA. He's kind of undersized. It just made sense to me. A decent fight for Broner at this stage of his development.

Shawn Porter is bring in Texas welterweight Roberto Garcia to spar with to get ready for Diaz.... Sparring will probably be thought than the fight, Garcia is a tough dude !
