i think he had a deal, that if he fought broner, he would get a 2nd fight on hbo win or lose
similar to the deal that zaveck and seluck aydin got,,, but hbo will make you wait forever,,
not sure if thats the case with demarco but thats the only thing i can think of.

Former lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-3-1, 21KOs), who recently broke ties with promoter Gary Shaw, has signed a promotional agreement with Zanfer Promotions of Mexico. He returns on August 10th at the Caliente Racetrack against Fidel Monterrosa (31-7-1, 25KOs) in a junior welterweight contest. The fight will be televised by TV Azteca. This will be DeMarco's first fight since suffering a TKO loss to Adrien Broner in Novembr of 2012. Also on the card, super bantamweight Daniel Rosas (15-0-1, 10KOs) faces Roberto Castaņeda (20-3-1, 15KOs).
