Larry Ekundayo and Glenn Foot meet in the battle of the unbeaten Prizefighter champions at The O2 on October 5, live on Sky Sports – and Ekundayo hopes their battle can be made an eliminator for the British welterweight title.

Ekundayo crashed into contention when he claimed the Prizefighter Light Middleweights III title in November at the York Hall in Bethnal Green after just two professional fights. Two months later, Foot came out on top in a barnstorming night at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton to lift the trophy in the Welterweights III.

Not sure if anyone else caught the Prizefighter that Ekundayo won, but he looked the business. Good to see him back in the ring as he good be a decent prospect, though I don't believe time is on his side.

I met Larry once at his gym. He was training a friend of mine for a charity white collar bout. Hes been raving about Larry for over a year. I was invited down there to do a shadow boxing masterclass with Spenser Fearon and to spar with Larry. Unfortunately Larry had a pretty nasty cut that was still healing so we never sparred.
I can say he is a real gentleman and an all round nice guy. He was really sweet, he watched my shadow boxing and said I should on the GB Olympic squad ( ha ha) so I had to tell him old I was.
Nice guy and very talented boxer, I wish him all the best for the future.
