I know you did. You also said he would likely beat Valuev better than Haye did. I'm just saying you can't base a good win on something that could potentially happen, but on just what happened. And Valuev had a far better resume than Chisora had at the time Haye fought him.
Will you give Haye credit if he beats Fury?

So the standards are different for a contender and a champion? In the champions favour?
If Wlad beat Fury, I bet people would be on here saying Wlad is the greatest and that's another 0 taken and bla bla.
But if Haye beats him, the same people would say Fury was a hype job.
Same thing happened with Chisora. People gave the guy a lot of respect after losing to Vitali in OK fashion (if that's possible) but when Haye KOs him, he's suddenly become a journeyman.
It's just a tat ironic.
It applies to both. Haye needs a KO. Anything less is disappointing.
If Wlad was fighting Fury, he'd need a KO, too.Comment

Absolutely. A decision would be embarrassing.Comment

Chisora has no significant win whatsoever. He has a few competitive losses and that's it. His record is no match for Valuev.Comment

Cunningham, closing in on 40, was no longer able to compete with the best cruisers, so he moved up to HW to collect the last few pennies from a career that is all but over. Before facing Fury, USS had a record at HW at 1-1 where his win came against old flop Jason Gavern and the loss was to Adamek who is just about done himself.
Yep. Cunningham is finished all right.
Cunningham should have won the first fight against Hernandez who didn't do anything else but knock him down in the first round. The second fight was close, where he battled back and showed some true heart getting up from the two KDs and lost a close decision. he then went on to beat that other guy, didn't watch that fight, and should have won against Adamek as well.
He wasn't washed up.Comment

You lilke causing problems don't you? ; -)
But I'll answer the question.
Haye unified the cruiserweight division. He's got skills. He's just not all that. But he's light years ahead of Fury. If Fury walks him down, shows skills and makes a fight out of it - wow!!! Props for Fury. If Haye lands heavy rights at will and moves away from Fury why would anyone give Haye credit for beating someone he was expected to beat?Comment

Whilst I agree Valuev's resume is not great, his win over John Ruiz is far better than anything Chisora has on his resume. Also, wins over McCline, Liakhovic, Ruiz II, Barrett pretty much matches anything Chisora has done and that includes Helenius.Comment
