Comments Thread For: Brian Viloria Would Welcome a Rematch With Estrada

Former WBO/WBA flyweight champion Brian Viloria would welcome a rematch with Mexico’s Juan Francisco Estrada who won the title from him last April 6 and successfully defended it against another Filipino, Milan Melindo at the same Cotai Arena venue of the Venetian Resort Hotel in Macao last Saturday.

Viloria who just got back from a vacation with his wife Erika and visited her family in Seattle said he “took the break before getting back” into the ring.

He said that if given a rematch against Estrada which Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard is possible, Viloria said “I will put everything into it and prove to everybody that I am the best flyweight today.”

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch. It will be tough for Viloria though. Estrada is young and only getting better and stronger. I really want to see a Gonzalez/Estrada rematch at Flyweight.

Viloria needs to get a rematch soon before Estrada gets even better. Now might be his best chance at revenge.

the rematch I would rather watch is gonzalez/Estrada,that was a close fight and Estrada always said he just couldn't make the weight anymore and struggled and that's why he went up,that's the rematch i'd rather see, chocolatito said he would like it too,but viloria fighting the winner would be great, these are the type of fights hbo should put on,quality fighters, great styles

Estrada should rematch Gonzalez first and Villoria should rematch Marquez. The winners face each other.

This will be a fever pitched fight with some serious back and forth action.

I would rather see Juan Francisco Estrada pursue other opportunities with other top 10 flyweights.

Brian Viloria talks about the judges scoring of Melindo fight with wide margins but he does not talk about the fact that one of the judges scored the fight for him when he fought Estrada, which was even more ridiculous.

Why not Estrada vs "La Bomba" Gonzalez from Puerto Rico? I believe Gonzalez is ranked #1 for Estrada's WBO belt. I think Estrada wins easy but they could both make money with a Mexico vs PR rivalry fight. Besides, Viloria didn't give Tyson Marquez a rematch even though Marquez fought the wrong fight.
