Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) is interested in captured the same title, only at 168-pounds, from Sakio Bika (32-5-2, 21KOs). Chavez returns on September 7th, at super middleweight, against Brian Vera at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The WBC recently ordered Chavez to face Marco Antonio Rubio in a rematch for the interim-title at 160-pounds, with the winner getting a mandatory shot at full champion Sergio Martinez. Chavez seems more interested in sticking at 168. No final decision has been made on his part, but few people expect him to return to the middleweight ranks.
