Victor Ortiz’s next fight isn’t yet official, but his next brush with mainstream celebrity is.

That’s because the former welterweight titleholder will have a role in “The Expendables 3,” an action movie franchise that has Sylvester Stallone at its helm and which has featured numerous big-name action stars in its first two installments.

Stallone announced Ortiz’s involvement Tuesday night on Twitter.

He's like Amir Khan... they can't stay off the canvas or keep from taking a beating in the ring... so this is a good direction for Ortiz. He had his chance of a lifetime roughing up Mayweather, then had a brain cramp, dropped his hands and looked to the referee, only to get cheap shot and out. His career has been over since.
