Wilder is now the de facto saviour. It all rests on him and Jennings.

As crazy as this sounds, Liakovich is a step down from Audley. IMO

      Disappointed in this matchup tbh.

And I thought Wilder would've began to step up in competition. Take on Seth Mitchell, Tony Thompson, Derek Chisora who won today. At least those names are better than the journeymen 28 he's fought.

          Don't forget David Rodriguez. 36-0, 34KOs

Just signed with Canelo's promotion company.

A soon to be 36 year old 15 year pro who hasn't fought since 2011.

            And it rests on him.

Surely we have some decent younger heavyweights in the US.

I see what Wilder is up to now. He wants to break Rocky Marciano's record & THEN fight a decent opponent.

Definitely not a step down. Sure Liakovich is over the hill but he has never been smoked out in the first round like Audley Harrison and is not mentally weak. Liakovich is a tough dude and has a lot of heart. If he's in good shape he'll come to fight. Liakovich will test Wilder's chin stamina and heart and overall boxing skills.

Seriously? Jennings is horrible, ridiculously overrated. Wilder would ko Jennings, and Scott is the best fighter between the three of them. And Arreola and Thompson would beat all three of them. I'm sure another American HW will become a dominant HW champion again, but not among the current list of contenders/prospects.

Wilder is going to destroy Liakhovich. Hope we see him fight a top 10 guy after.
