Two years ago today, Alejandro Perez was two days removed from losing a one-sided 10 round unanimous decision to Diego Magdaleno.
Perez went from a bright prospect to what some may consider being a gatekeeper between the featherweight and super featherweight divisions in a span of six fights. Aside from the defeat to Magdaleno, Perez also had loses to Adolfo Landeros and Rico Ramos.
