  • Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Discusses His Weight, Facing Rubio and Vera

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) has no objection with the the recent order by the World Boxing Council, which directs him to face Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio (57-6-1, 49KOs) in a rematch for the vacant interim-middleweight title. Chavez won a twelve round unanimous decision over Rubio in early 2012. The winner would become the mandatory challenger to the full champion Argentina's Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez, who is recovering from several injuries.

"If the World Boxing Council believes Rubio deserves another championship fight, that's fine. I'm ready for it, so if Rubio is the one in front of me then I'm going to beat Rubio...more easily this time," Chavez said. "Rubio is very cautious, hopefully he wants to win this time and make a much better fight."

LOL. Rubio ain't knocking out ****.

And the only reason Chavez might be able to is because he could fight at light heavy.

You mean the other way around right ? Knocking down a guy with a ripped knee who just schooled you for 11rounds doesn't constitute a soul-taking my man.
