Comments Thread For: Haye-Fury on Sky Box Office, Peter Fury Talks Twitter

As expected, the heavyweight showdown between former WBA titlist David Haye, 26-2 (24), and former British and Commonwealth champion Tyson Fury, 21-0 (10) will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office on September 28. Mick Hennessy, who promotes Fury, and Hayemaker Promotions have put the fight together and it will take place at the Manchester Arena. Peter Fury, Tyson's uncle and trainer, confirmed Sky's involvement on Monday when telling BoxingScene that Team Fury were waiting on some final documentation from the broadcaster before putting pen to paper.

Nah Fury will actually try but he'll still get sparked early.

PPV is annoying especially for a David Haye fight considering he was the reason they stopped doing PPV in the first place.

I have said this on a few occassions this is not a pay per view fight and if anyone buys this we will be taken for mugs. We pay enough to sky on our monthly subscription to pay even more for fights. They stopped showing Khan's fights on pay per view and they reverted back when the Froch v Kessler fight was scheduled (understandably so) but not this one if we all stand together so this won't happen again. There is only one fight in September that is a pay per view and that is Myaweather v Canelo and its not pay per view on Boxnation.

Unfortunately there are too many mugs for us to ever make a difference.

Worth £15 to watch Fury get sparked and see what he says afterwards.

It would be nice if there was a decent undercard but there never seems to be one for Haye fights.

You are free to make up your own mind, but here is some food for thought if there is a low turn out on this pay per view and Sky realise that there will be low viewership they will have no choice make to make it a free viewership on the day, because if the advertiser's realise there are not too many people watching they will cancel there contracts and sky will only listen where it hits them the most in there pocket. Whoever wins this fight will be getting there next fight on pay per view again and we will keep on paying for fights, sky stopped pay per view but every mug bought the Froch v Kessler fight and they are at it again. In this economic times why do we the normal Joe public have to tighten our belt s but these boxers keep getting richer. Tyson and Haye don't need to get the 5 million each they can get 2 million each and they can give something back to the public that support them as they are already millionaire's- so don't be one of those mugs by saying 'you want to see Fury get knocked out', so you will buy the fight anyway, when you can see the fight free. Think about it.
