Comments Thread For: Peter Fury Confirms Haye Signed, Tyson To Ink Next

    By Terence Dooley

As is the norm these days, news of a big fight has broke via Twitter after London's David Haye Tweeted that he has signed his side of a deal to meet Manchester's Tyson Fury on September 28. Haye Tweeted a photo of himself signing a piece of paper, presumably the contract, earlier today.

The former WBA titlist has now placed the ball firmly in Fury's court and his move should bring about an outcome to a "will they, won't they" saga that went into overdrive when Fury Tweeted Haye a 80-20 offer a few weeks ago, which was later revealed to be a tongue-in-cheek response to Haye's claim that his domestic rival had refused an initial 50-50 deal.

Peter Fury, who trains Tyson, recently told BoxingScene that they are happy with the even split and, therefore, the fight should come together without any further problems once a few final details have been ironed out: "We're nearly all set, we are just waiting on a final document from Sky," said Fury when confirming the latest development to Boxingscene.com

Haye, 26-2 (24), has now left it to Fury, 21-0 (15), to put pen to paper on a fight that has already attracted a huge amount of attention here in the U.K.

Well this is going to be a circus. Hopefully HBO picks it up. I'd love to see all the pre-fight build up for it as well.

Fight was likely agreed weeks ago.

All the 80/20 talk was just to wind up the dweebs on here and hype the fight.

The 24/7 show should be a treat.

Half of it will be from a penthouse suite by the Thames with a bevy with lingerie clad models flouncing about.

And the other half from a caravan in a Lancashire field surrounded by goats & toddlers with dried **** stuck on their unclad legs.

I thought Fury already signed his part a few weeks ago.
