    Undefeated Sergey Kovalev (21-0-1, 19KOs) is willing to fight IBF champion Bernard Hopkins (53-6-2, 32KOs) - after fighting WBO champion Nathan Cleverly (26-0, 12KOs) on August 17th at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.

    The IBF had ordered Hopkins to defend his title against Kovalev. The Russian contender says his promoter, Main Events, heard nothing from Hopkins or his team regarding the ordered defense. Because there wasn't any interest being expressed from Hopkins, he accepted the opportunity to face Cleverly for his title, and HBO will be televising the fight. [Click Here To Read More]

                  there's was a time in hip hop when every rapper got shot...for some reason these wounds were NEVER life threatening and albums were released some 30 days later....many believe they were shooting themselves or having somebody they trust shoot them....I know it sounds crazy but it was a way to get attention or hot as it's called....in boxing, all you have to say is so and so is avoiding a fight and boom...you're hot....not bad compared to the hip hop game!!

                              Not Hopkins- but Hopkins TEAM- Shafer, golden boy and showtime wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with Kovalev. Pretty hilarious how the whole thing played out. They switched back and forth saying they'll defend against unknown bum Murat, Then kept silent about Kovalev, then talked about defending against Murat again once Kovalev signed for Cleverly..

                                  a few weeks ago after Kovalevs bout Hopkins said he would honor the IBF decree, no he is aying othing & his "team" spouting BS...mayb some doubt if we wants this young. strong lion....
