Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley's Trainer Like The Sound of Miguel Cotto Clash

On Saturday afternoon, former three-division world champion Miguel Cotto confirmed what had already been speculated, as the Puerto Rican star announced via his personal Twitter that he will be returning to HBO’s airwaves on October 5th.

Cotto also revealed that he will be working with Top Rank, his original promoter dating back to his pro debut, while trainer Freddie Roach will serve as a new face in his corner.

Definitely some big changes for Cotto, who saw his previous two contests, decision losses to Floyd Mayweather and Austin Trout, be co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, with the former being televised by Showtime.

Win against Marquez first..... although win or lose... you'll probably still be able to fight Cotto

I would prefer to see Miguel try albeit at this point struggle to make 147, he is just too slow for the punchers of 154 and he's too small in stature so he really brings only experience as an advantage to 154lb fights. Heck i'd sette for 150 at this point, he will not end his career on a high note at 154 unless he fights mediocre fighters at that weight but they don't bring in much cash.

Guys you are thinking like if Cotto was a spring chicken, he aint. He will fight the more lucrative fights in sights. If Marquez wins, it will be Cotto vs Marquez at 150, if Bradley wins it will be Cotto vs Martinez at 157 for the MW crown. Simple as that!
