Comments Thread For: Buglioni: Cleverly Quicker, Sharper Than Froch in Sparring

Top prospect Frank Buglioni has been racking up the rounds with WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly.

The unbeaten London ace is preparing for his ninth pro fight on the big Wembley Arena show on Saturday 20th July and wanted some top quality sparring in the build up.

And there isn't much better than the unbeaten Welsh star who is also hard in training for his explosive showdown with hammer-fisted Russian challenger Sergey Kovalev on Saturday 17th August at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena.

Buglioni and Cleverly's fights are both live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/****** Ch. 546).

LOL at Frank Warren's pathetic attempts to stir interest in Froch-Cleverly. Kovalev is going to wreck Nathan.

@Yoz...yup, pretty blatant and definitely none too subtle from Warren. Use your young, upcoming prospect to hype another fight that really needs all the publicity it can get....oldest trick in the biz.

I reckon Warren thinks he's got Joe Calzaghe II with Buglioni.....good looking, talkative/confident Anglo-Italian fighter (who is London-based rather than from Newport!) and who hits hard and puts on a show.

Calzaghe used to punch hard, freely and try to take guys out early before all his hand problems....and FB is very much in that mould. He's a SMW as well and that has kind of become the blue riband/premier division for Brit boxing fans.

We'll be hearing a lot more about Buglioni over the next 18 months and it will be interesting to see how far this lad can go...he apparently sells tickets all over the shop and has good sponsorhsip behind him...but at some point he's going to have collide with someone like Kenny Andersen or Matt Macklin having a final throw of the dice.

And I suppose Froch-Groves is a better fight?

He sells tickets because he is not the worst looking man, but he fights like a scrub.
