Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham, Sauerland Ink New Pact Until 2015

Former champion Arthur Abraham (36-4, 28KOs) has reached an agreement with his promoter Sauerland Event, and plans to fight on August 24th against Willbeforce Shihepo in Scherwin, Germany. As we reported a few weeks ago, Abraham was unhappy with the purse being offered and the two-division beltholder was holding out for more money. He even went as far as to threaten the possibility of retirement.

Bu the two sides were able to reach a common ground. On Monday, Abraham signed a new promotional agreement with Sauerland until 2015. In his last fight, Abraham was stopped in four rounds by Robert Stieglitz in March.

I'm glad that AA continues his career even though he is in decline. First a tune up and then Adonis. That would be great.

Watching the Stieglitz fight again, it's tough to be a fan of AA. Always with the earmuffs on early. Then he gets an eye injury and it's all over. The times he was aggressive, he was backing Stieglitz off. Pretty much a blueprint of most of his recent fights. If he doesn't get away from that, it's over and out.
