Comments Thread For: Alexander: Khan is Delusional, Won't Get To Mayweather

IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander recently spoke to BoxingScene.com about a possible December match up against Amir Khan. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer has previously stated that he would like to have the fight on December 7th and Dubai has been mentioned as a possible location.

Khan has been in the news lately saying that he won't have any problems beating the St. Louis native and thinks that a win over Alexander will lock in a 2014 fight against pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Those comments didn't sit well with Alexander who said that there is no way that Khan can beat him. He doesn't feel that the Brit has the skill level necessary to beat him and also doesn't think that his chin will be able to hold up. [Click Here To Read More]

amir is one delusional self entitled c*nt. You're suppose to be more humbled every time you get knocked out. With khan its the opposite effect.

He plays up ever knockout loss as a victory for his "learning experience" to be better to face Floyd.

Says the guy who still believes hes undefeated. Says the guy who thinks Khan hasn't fought anyone, despite dominating Kotelnik who everyone knows Alexander lost to, as well as beating Maidana before Alexander did.

Devon, you quit in the ring against Bradley. You fought like a clown in the Kotelnik fight and Matthysse beat your ass

think it will be a close fight.... Devon never really impressed a lot of people. His best performance was against Maidana. Don't think he lost a round in that fight. I thought he lost to Lucus but 2 close to say it was a robbery and his home town. I would give him the edge over Khan but one would not be surprised if khan won on points. A close points win

despite all the hate, i think khan can actually make it interesting with floyd. speed, combinations, punching power, footwork.... i can see khan peppering floyd and outworking him. buuuuuuuuuuuuut its highly unlikely. he has no discipline to execute a gameplan.

at the same time, khan is a dude that floyd CAN ktfo. i can totally see floyd timing khan and putting his lights out.

khan/mayweather is a good fight. good business sense... low risk, high return... especially in the UK, obviously.
