WBO 105-pound champion Moisés Fuentes is back with a win, securing a ten round unanimous decision over experienced Gerardo Verde. “Moi” Fuentes (17-1-1, 8 KO’s) vs. “Diablito” Verde (18-6-1, 14 KO’s) was a non-title junior flyweight contest which took place at the Foro Tecate in Tijuana. All three judges had it scored 99-91. The fight was televised on Azteca 7 and Azteca América. It was Fuentes' first bout since the twelve round majority draw with WBO 108-pound champion Donnie Nietes in March. Fuentes wants a rematch with Nietes before the end of the year.
