Comments Thread For: Mitchell Wants Redemption, Banks Wants a Knockout

Heavyweight Seth Mitchell did not have to do it. But he insisted it had to be done.

Jonathan Banks wants to prove no fluke was involved.

The combatants who seemed to have careers going in opposite directions before their first meeting will square off in a rematch Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The bout will precede the Paul Malignaggi-Adrien Broner world title belt fight. Both fights, along with the Sakio Bika-Marco Antonio Periban bout, will be televised on Showtime, starting at 9 PM ET/ 6 PM PT.

Massive credit to Mitchell if he can get revenge, but Banks is a much more experienced, and better boxer. Plus, he has some pop. I see Banks getting KO #2, and Mitchell reaching a career crossroads.

Unless something has radically changed I just can't see anything but a Banks win.

Mitchell has the power but he was clearly outclassed by Banks and I don't think it will be any different tonight. Banks out boxes him and stops him again only this time it takes a few more rounds to get the job done.

This will indeed be a repeat of the first fight. Mitchell just has aggression and the big looping punches, neither much of an attribute. Banks KO by 6.

Why are people writing Mitchell off so easily? He clearly won the first round and got caught when he decided to throw wild punches, Banks outclassing him is a myth. It was Mitchells mistake that lost him the fight. Mitchell mid-rounds KO.

Mitchell wins this fight via TKO fairly easily.
