Alberto 'Machine Gun' Mosquera (19-0-2, 13KOs) confirmed he will be defending his junior welterweight Latin title (140 pounds) of the World Boxing Council (WBC) on the 3rd of August in the city of Panama. Mosquera did not confirm who his opponent will be, but he continues to train hard in the gym. Mosquera had a mixed bag in 2012. He won bouts against Luis Jose and Miguel Callist, but a win over Fidel Munoz became a no-contest after Mosquera tested positive for marijuana. He returned in April to decision Francisco Fuentes.
