Comments Thread For: Brook-Jones II Card - Lee Selby Faces Viorel Simion

Lee Selby will face unbeaten Viorel Simion on the Betfair’s ‘The Homecoming’ bill at the MS3 Craven Park in Hull on July 13, live on Sky Sports.

The Welsh featherweight star switches from the Bolton show on June 29 to meet the Romanian on the bumper outdoor show topped by the debut of Olympic Gold medal star Luke Campbell MBE. It’s a huge night for Selby who has excelled in the last 18 months, claiming the British and Commonwealth titles in style against Stephen Smith and impressing in defences against John Simpson, Patrick Okine, Martin Lindsay and Corey O’Connell.

Rome - I'm not disappointed, their first fight was highly entertaining.

i agree it was a war til the end.

cant help but think it may have had something to do with brooks bust nose. he seemed to dip in confidence and stamina after that.

i guess we will find out

loving the look of selby too, guys got some slick skills and looks like he can **** abit too

I think its a good comeback fight after various injuries.
Also with it being a close fight I think he wants to settle the score and win convincingly and then can move forward with his career.

I really think Brook should be stepping up in competition by now. He should have a name like Berto, Paulie, Bailey, Ortiz, Lopez, Soto Karass, Zaveck or damn even Diaz on his record. Talk about Mayweather avoiding fighter.

You don't get it, do you? This was a short notice, warm up fight. It was never designed to be a big fight. They're fighting in Hull, they weren't going to be able to get a big name. Brook will have a bigger fight in September.
