  • Comments Thread For: Team Klitschko Reject Claims, Want Full Random Testing

    Bernd Boente, the manager of WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko (60-3, 51 KOs), has rejected the claims being made by Andrei Ryabinsky, the Vice-President of the Professional Boxing Federation of Russia. In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com, Ryabinsky said Wladimir was against the idea of undergoing full random drug testing for the upcoming fight with mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (26-0, 18 KOs), which is tentative for the date of October 5th in Moscow, Russia.

    I mean who to trust in this? It sounds like Povetkin's side want to put Wladimir in a bad light, all along making Povetkin look 'better' when he pulls out from fighting Wlad for the third time. What's the problem with using NADA anyway? This is the question the Russians should answer.

      It seems that the Russian investor thought he can buy the fight and Klitschko. Klitschko is right, you can't trust these Russian anti-doping agencies....does anybody really believe that their testing is for real? Povetkin is probably through this already looking for a reason to cancel the fight against Wlad for a third time.

        Typical Russian trickery... Let your best friend handle your doping tests... Let your best friend be the judge when you are trialed. They are so foolish to think Klitschko would agree to this...

          I have to solution to their dispute;

          Hire both NADA and RUSADA.

              Well I'm glad this thread didn't go anywhere as far as comments are concerned, with a bunch of would-be PED experts chiming in.

                  Well, if this fight doesn't get made, I won't shed a tear.
