  • Comments Thread For: Lara Warns Angulo: You Will Find Out What I'm About!

Junior middleweight contenders Erislandy Lara and Alfredo Angulo appeared on this week's edition of BoxingScene Radio to talk about their June 8th showdown. The fight will be part of a Showtime televised tripleheader.

We asked Lara how his preparation for the fight has been and also asked him if he thinks that Angulo is his toughest challenge to date.

"My training camp has been great. Everything is good," Lara replied. "I don't think this is the toughest fight of my career. He is a good fighter but Angulo is nothing like Paul Williams. Williams was the best 154 pounder in the world at the time. I don't want to take anything away from Angulo but Williams is the better fighter," he continued. [Click Here To Read More]

this is going to be a good one. angulo always comes to fight. and he plays right into style. boring or not. lara will counter tag him all night long.and if a t any point that lara goes on attack. angulo will be in some serious trouble.he has no defense and lara is very accurate. i see a lara decision or a late stoppage.

been feeling bad for Lara since the Williams robbery
without that debacle, he'd have won a title by now
people are down on him for the Vanes fight, but it's no biggie
he deserved to win it and shoulda got a shot at Alvarez
they've been grooming Alvarez for the Floyd fight so Lara's been shut out
he'll get a solid win here and be in line to get a title shot
Lara won't KO Angulo but he'll put something on him

Not just Martirosyan, but Molina as well. Lara is good, and he was robbed versus Williams, but he has a tendency to lose focus. I'm hoping Erislandy makes some noise in this fight.

I consider Angulo to be a real "wild card" in this fight -- hard to know what to expect from him from fight to fight -- if he's on his game, he could take Lara out -- if he comes in clueless, unprepared and unfocused, he could get outclassed -- definitely a compelling fight.....

I think this will be an easy win for Lara.

I hope the focused lay it all on the line Lara shows up not the sleepy lame one.
