Comments Thread For: David Price Getting Veteran Lessons From Lennox Lewis

DAVID PRICE will be in bed fast asleep shortly before his make or break rematch against Tony Thompson.

The scouse heavyweight was shocked two rounds by the American southpaw in February, but goes for revenge at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on July 6.

Price, 29, has spent three weeks working under former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis in Canada.

And the laid back fighting great reckons Price would be more relaxed if he went to bed after he arrived at the venue [Click Here To Read More]

Good to see David addressing some of his flaws. I just fear he's left it too late.

He'll be fast asleep after the fight too. Tony will crack him again.

He won't learn much from Lewis, except how to mispronounce some names, "deffittly" and Price will have to be very careful if he starts telling him how to beat a Klitschko...... He might have some success if he does the exact opposite of whatever Lewis tells him........ Judging by Lewis's track record on advice as to how to beat the Klitschkos.......

I don't think David can fix what his real problem seems to be, his punch resistance. I think he's one of those guys that looks really good coming up, but never makes it to the top.

he was asleep during the fight as well.

lewis no doubt will only seek to sabotage price, if you've ever heard lewis commentate you'll know how much he likes to downplay anyone that might have a chance of sharing his fame, and talking up old opponents to make himself look better. as if this guy wants to help another british heavyweight to do well, as if

Dont see why he couldn't come back from his defeat.

If he KOs Thompson this time around, then he's back in there. I think Lewis could maybe teach him a thing or two about his defense, but I'm certainly not sold on him as a trainer yet. He claims he could be a top trainer, so I guess we'll see.

Nothing is going to fix Prices chin and punch resistance

He might beat TT, but his winning streak will not last long

LL had a decent chin and could trade big punchers on the inside e.g see Michael Grant fight

Price cant fight on the inside and his outside game isn't very impressive, he's the type of boxer who will knock you out within the first 2 rounds, but if you take him past 3, he'll start struggling
