Trainer Robert Garcia, the former world champion says younger brother and reigning WBO world featherweight champion Miguel “Mikey” Garcia is ready for war against former champion Juan Manuel “Juanma Lopez” of Puerto Rico in their June 15 battle in Dallas, Texas.

Garcia told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard - “I cant promise you it will be a war because Mikey doesn’t fight wars. He fights a smart, technical fight. But if he (Juanma) wants a war we’ll be ready like we were ready for (Orlando) Salido” from whom Garcia won the title.

Robert is funny.. I don't really give him much credit for being a "great" trainer.. he didn't help margacheto, took a beating from pac.. didn't really help rios.. no head movement.. maidana has not looked different.. trained donaire (who is talented to begin with) over the phone.. ha ha.. Would not let his baby bro continue when the going got tough vs salido but let margacheoto take a beating.. victor Ortiz left him for a reason.. so did rolanod reyes, pavlik was washed up.. Martinez just trained out of there, just cause I read somewhere that he trained with him. In my opinion he's overrated.. but this Mikey dude has tremendous upside, skillswise.. his heart is iffy and I don't recall a fight where his chin was really tested..

Garcia is just starting to make a name for himself. He is challenging the best and the toughest fights he can ATM. He is still a little green in big fights so I think this is a good fight. I wouldn't consider Juanma a cherry pick at all, as some people on here are actually picking Juanma to win. I think Garcia wins and is ready to face the best of the best after this.
