Miami, FL: The successful series of Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford opens its summer season with a splash on Friday, June 21st, 2013 at the recently renovated Auditorio El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City, Mexico.
In the main event former world title challenger Julian “El Chicano” Rivera of Barrio Tepito in Mexico City, Mexico (12-7-1-2 KO’s) will face fellow brawler Matt “Mighty” Villanueva (9-1-8 KO’s) of Cabazon, California in a clash schedule for 10 Rounds with the vacant WBO Latino Superflyweight Title at stake. Last year Rivera was in a 3 fight winning streak on Telemundo which earn him a shot at WBA Champion Juan Carlos Reveco dropping a hard fought decision, Viilanueva on the other hand is a hard punching brawler who has already appeared on ESPN and Showtime and will make his Telemundo debut.
