Comments Thread For: BoxingScene Fight Predictions Kessler vs. Froch II:

Has Carl Froch’s sensational win over Lucian Bute presented false hope in his chances in this weekend’s rematch with Mikkel Kessler, or have their careers rapidly traveled in opposite directions?

The rule of thumb in competitive fights is that most tend to lean towards the winner in a wider verdict the second time around. Yet Mikkel Kessler finds himself the underdog as he travels to the O2 Arena in London for this weekend’s sequel with Froch, which airs live on HBO (Saturday, 6:00PM ET) and Sky Box Office.

Even though I'm going to root for Kessler, Froch will win this by TKO in the late rounds

Too much credit for Carl, though...
The Bute fight perhaps too overrated, I suspect...

The Racket Squad: Of Mad Cobras and Dedicated Danes

Ward did not simply take Carl to school. He erected a University Froch could never graduate from.
Mr. F has been just as exposed as Mr. Bute.

Kessler fought hard and Froch stayed with him the first time, but the Dane was indeed the better man that night.

The Bute win gave Froch an inflated opinion of himself as Bute was prime for the taking by most solid middles

English cooking may very well decide this 2nd issue as I do not see how Carl is that much improved and Mikkel may have skills he has not used yet.

Unless there is a stunning early KO, this thing should go the distance with Carl receiving a controversial victory.

              Hoping for a great fight.

My guess is Froch by stoppage around rounds 8-10 due to cuts.

                LOL

It was hardly that big of a win. And Froch was having a very off night.

Let's see Mr. Oakland fight in the UK against Froch. My bet is on a very different result.

Ward is very overrated. He ducked Bute after the Super Six before Bute lost his shine in the Froch fight. He refuses to fight anywhere but in his backyard.

Let's see him fight the winner of Froch/Kessler in that man's home country.
