Comments Thread For: Alexander: I Would Rematch Matthysse at 147, Win Again

IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander won a close split decision over Lucas Matthysse in June, 2011. Some observers felt that the Argentine sensation deserved to get the nod on the scorecards. On a recent edition of BoxingScene Radio, Alexander said that he had no problem with facing Matthysse again.

That fight was Alexander's last fight as a junior welterweight. He was knocked down in the 4th round and attributed part of his struggles in the fight to the difficulty of making the 140 pound weight limit for the fight.

Even Alexander has to stretch to "technically" winning against Matthysse.

I really do not want to see Alexander run around the ring again in a rematch. The first fight was nearly unwatchable with the way Alexander fought but I wll give Devon credit for throwing the most pitty pat punches since Calzaghe. I also find it humorous that Alexander really thinks he won the first fight.

There's a reason why no one likes Alexander.

Much like Bradley did not gain fans from Pac.

He talks like he won, when he got a gift.

Plus he is boring as **** personality wise that his trainer has to do the trash talk, and his style which is **** which is all to do with his trainer anyway.

            **** them both.

Him saying a rematch would be different was a dead give away he knows he lost.

And there is another guy saying Matthysse is the hardest puncher he has faced, and body punches...

You said the same thing about the PEDerson fight and refused a 1T bet. Now that PEDerson got annihilated you're trying to find another fighter to fall back on. Talk about bandwagoner... Lmao.
