Will Al Haymon Save Danny Garcias life by not making the Matthysse fight?

I know what Schaffer & GBP are saying about a match taking place between Matthysse & Garcia, but will Al-Haymon save Garcia eating the canvas and ending up in a heap in his crying dads arms in the middle of the ring by avoiding making the fight?

Yup, that's what I'm predicting what'll happen. It doesn't appear as though Danny even wants the fight. Oscar and Schaefer seem eager, but whenever it's actually the fighter Danny Garcia being asked about Lucas, it's always something along the lines of "I....uhh....I do what Al Haymon tells me."

I actually think Garcia wants it. He is pretty arrogant.

Here's the scenario I could possibly see play out. Matthysse, being the WBC interim champ, gets a larger share of the purse (as mandated by the WBC) than he would have without the interim belt. Garcia refusing to pay that much, drops the WBC belt. They still negotiate the fight, but Matthysse wants a share similar to what the WBC mandated and and Garcia wants cough up way less. Fight doesn't happen.

Just a hypothetical though. I think Garcia takes the fight.

            Matthysse crushes Garcia.

Just the same as Donaire always tried to talk his way out of a Rigondeaux fight by bad-mouthing him, Garcia has been trying the same thing with Matthysse. Donaire knew he was on to an ass-kicking and he was right, Garcia also knows he's on to an ass-kicking if he fights Matthysse.

It's a win-win situation for Haymon anyhow, don't see why he'd be trying to protect Garcia.

Danny Garcia also showed up to watch the fight and even spoke about fighting the winner with Brian Kenny. It would make no sense if he opted to fight somebody else besides Mattysse, other than FM of course.

I like Danny but he's getting KO'd no doubt about it. He's got a punchers chance though.
