Comments Thread For: Orlando Cruz Eyes World Title Shot in Coming Months

Puerto Rican featherweight contender Orlando Cruz (20-2-1, 10KOs) was hoping to get a shot at WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia. Instead, Cruz's countryman Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez secured the opportunity, taking place on June 15th in Dallas, Texas.

Cruz hopes to get the winner of the Juanma vs. Garcia encounter, or anothre world champion by the end of the year.

Ever since he came out, he is getting undeserved attention. He can win a fight here and there, but he is not a special fighter. His one chance at getting exposure was blew when he was throwing uppercuts to Lock from way outside and got counter nicely and TKO. Then Ponce got rid of him easy too. He dont deserve a title shot and he is not going to beat anyone of relevance
