Middleweight boxer James De La Rosa came up positive for the banned diuretic Furosemide in a drug test taken for his bout last month against Marcus Willis, according to Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada Athletic Commission.
A complaint against De La Rosa has been issued and served, Kizer said. The nine other boxers who appeared on the April 12 card at the Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas came up negative in the state’s drug-screening panel.
