Plans for Darren Barker remain fluid as promoter Eddie Hearn chases a big fight for the Barnet middleweight.

Barker has put an injury nightmare behind him to win his last two fights via fourth round stoppage, and currently holds the IBF inter-continental belt.

However, world title fights are on the 30-year-old's horizon if Hearn can get the deal done.

"We are still speaking to Top Rank regarding Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Barker and Brian Vera are on the shortlist although I expect Martin Murray to have popped into the equation," he told Sky Sports.

yes, this is the fight to make. golovkin has macklin, chavez has vera (most likely), and i don't see gbp and quillin looking their way. murray is just coming off the martinez fight, so geale is the best opponent barker can face right now. hopefully hearn can secure this one. the winner of this fight can then be involved in a bigger fight down the road, with someone like chavez or golovkin (or murray).
