For all the disregard he engenders amongst American boxing fans, Wladimir Klitschko has become an increasingly historic figure in the sport's most celebrated weight class. Ever since he won the IBF belt from Chris Byrd in 2006, "Dr. Steelhammer" has put together a reign for the ages. Consider:

* His current reign is nearing its seventh year and if, as expected, he retains his belts Saturday against Francesco Pienta he will likely pass Larry Holmes for the second longest heavyweight title tenure.

I think there's plenty of heavyweights out there to challenge Wladimir.

He's dodge Audley forever. A-Force was destined to beat Wladimir but K2 promotions have consistently dabbled in his affairs, releasing butterflies by the 100s in Germany whenever Audley fights. Subsequently he gets knocked out each time he's knocking on the door.

Seriously though; I liked what I saw with Chisora against Vitali. I think he gives Wladimir a much tougher fight than most other heavyweights, because he's prepared to get close and go to work on the body and take Wlad into deep water in the 2nd half of the fight. He's got to rack up a few wins first though.

Tyson Fury probably feels he has what it takes to mix it with Wladimir. I'm not convinced he can beat him, but I think he can hit him. Fury's main issue is he seems to lack pop so would have to weather whatever fire Wladimir put on him if he were to win that, and I'm not sure he'll be able to.

Deontay Wilder I think is miles off being ready. He needs to start fighting bigger opponents, he's too used to just punching down into mobile heavy bags.

Adamek stands no chance, despite what he believes. He should be at cruiserweight.

Haye is also too small.

Helenius doesn't have much about him, frankly, other than his size and he seems to have a good beard. Outboxed easily, and probably stopped by Wladimir.

David Price looks physically capable but now it looks like he'll be hurt by the first meaningful shot. So it'll be a battle of the glass jaws vs Wladimir, with Wlad much more experienced at protecting it.

Povetkin I'm unimpressed by. Easy win for Wladimir.

Pulev I hear a lot about but know nothing of. No comment.

Solis needs to show he takes the sport seriously.

Stiverne looked good against Arreola, but will be too small again.

Which leaves me asking myself...
