  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko vs. Stiverne Clash is Ordered By The WBC

Less than a week removed from his biggest career win to date, Bermane Stiverne has been delivered his most promising news as a professional prizefighter.

Negotiations are officially underway for the once beaten heavyweight contender to next face Vitali Klitschko for a heavyweight title. The WBC notified both camps that Stiverne is now the official mandatory challenger, thanks to his HBO-televised 12-round rout over Chris Arreola on the road last weekend in Ontario, California.

The two sides will have 30-days to work out an agreement, or else the proposed bout will head to a purse bid on June 3 at the WBC headquarters in Mexico City. [Click Here To Read More]

I hope Stiverne sends Vitali into retirement with a loss. If Vitali wins we'll have a couple of more pointless cherry picked fights against the Sosnowski's and Charr's of the HW division.

Stiverne is going to catch a beating. If memory serves me right, a 40 year old, saggy, out of shape Ray Austin was outboxing Stiverne before the stoppage.

BLIMEY....stiverne's manager talks a load of BS doesnt he. firstly he wont rewrite history...he will simply make a new chapter. second..the WBC heavyweight title isnt worth the paper its printed on in the general world of sport - the WBC is a mockery. 3rd vitali isnt one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. honestly..this guy been taking media training from amir khan or somethign?

Looks like they've order Stiverne to be executed. It will be Stiverne on the ropes the entire fight taking a one-sided pounding. His counter-punching style wont work because to beat Vitali, you have to be an inside fighter and come forward non-stop if you have short arms like Stiverne does and that is not Stivern's game.
