Comments Thread For: Khan Defends Addition of Conte To His Training Team

Former two division world champion Amir Khan has defended his hire of controversial fitness coach Victor Conte. Conte was jailed in 2005 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute banned steroids. His association with Khan has been criticized by the UK Anti-Doping organization.

Khan, who fights Mexico's Julio Diaz on Saturday night, said Conte, who was introduced to the boxer by trainer Virgil Hunter, had passed on a lot of invaluable tips.

If anyone is P4P destined, it's definitely Khan.

-Undefeated with possibly the greatest trainer of all time
    -Brand new elite level neck
-Getting some of the best sparring out there (hence the black eye in recent pics)
-Top tier strength and conditioning from one of the best out there

Lmao good one. 1-0 with Virgil Hunter clearly does indeed mean Khan is destined for greatness. He would beat Mayweather 120-108, KO Golovkin in 1, and then move up to heavyweight and dismantle both Klitchko's in consecutive nights. This is clearly Khan's destiny.

Donaire ran away from Conte and all of a sudden he has weight issues. Obviously Conte's good at what he's doing but in the UK this is not very good for Khan.
