Kompayak Por Pramuk (49-4) and Jean Pierro Perez (20-5-1) will do battle for the Interim WBA World Flyweight Title in Thailand this week. The fight is set for Kon Kaen on Friday afternoon and will be broadcast live locally by Channel 7.

The lineage of this particular belt is a little unclear, Perez held it briefly in 2011 but was knocked out by Juan Carlos Reveco in his first title defence. In February Masayuki Kuroda beat Reveco to became the full WBA World Flyweight Champion, a belt he still holds.

I think the author means Reveco, who was interim beltholder, beat Kuroda in February to take the full belt. The whole thing is silly because Reveco earlier destroyed Perez so I am not sure why Perez is up for another belt. Estrada and Reveco should be the next match. That would be a fun fight
