  • Comments Thread For: Canelo vs. Trout Early Results From The Alamodome

Alamodome, San Antonio, TX - Miguel “El Michoacan” Flores, 127 lbs (11-0, 6 KOs) Houston, TX over Guadalupe De Leon, 127 lbs (8-14, 4 KOs) Mission, TX. Flores is the younger brother of the late Benjamin Flores, who fought Bernabe Concepcion in this venue in a memorable bout in 2007. Flores is more active and accurate, landing upstairs and downstairs. De Leon who has tested many Texas and National prospects, looked to make it a fight on the inside, and did some nice work late in the fight with a few uppercuts and hooks underneath. Unanimous Decision for Flores by judges scores of 39-37x2, & 40-36

@ the fight right now. Flores definitely took care of business. The Morales vs Hidalgo bout just wrapped and it was horrible. I think they threw a combined 300 punches in 8 rounds.

Wth? Showtime just introduced Gausha with a 8-2-3ko record, did anybody else catch that?? Didn't he just turn pro last fall??

Wasn't impressed by Gausha. Got a gift decision for his fight. I think Showtime messed up on his record. The announcer said 8 and 2 yet the billboard here showed him as 3 and 0 w/2 kos. Not sure which was right.

Charlo looked good in his bout. He put his opponent out in 5 rounds and pretty landed everything at will without getting hit much.

Few names here: Tony Parker, Rigoberto Alvarez, Paulie Malginali, Miguel Cotto, Ishe Smith

Gausha nearly got KOd first round by William 'Outlaw' Waters, a club fighter from Phoenix City AL. Obviously just a 4 rounder, but man was that ever a punch. Then he connected again and jolted Gausha before the round was over. They both got winded before it was over, but hey it was a fun 4 rounder.

Figueroa looks dangerous in the extreme. I'm also grateful to him because we'll probably get to see a few of those undercard fights now

People throw around the word gift and robbery, I'm not sure a four round fight can be a gift.
