Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions revealed a lot of juicy nuggets to BoxingScene.com/NotiFight.com. Beltran recently had dinner with Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs), and confirms the boxer will make his return on September 14th in Las Vegas, likely against Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) for the welterweight world championship of the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

So, since Juan thinks he's the superior fighter, he's against making the most money he can in another fight, ever? Logic says he knows he landed a "lucky" punch and that he'd get beat up again. He refuses (possibly)beating Timothy and then facing Manny for a good reason, it seems.

Hopefully Darchi beats Mijares/Terrazas cause I know he will have the balls to face Rigo. Those 2 gotta be the sissiest Mexicans ever to blantantly reject Rigo like they did.

Nah man he always claimed he won their previous fights as far as the lucky punch...man whatever should we assume the punches that knocked Juan down were lucky come on man the difference here is Marquez can take Manny's best shots and continue on as painful as it is for you to understand your only way to stomach the defeat is to say that it was lucky manny nor roach can stop the right hand I tell you what PAC is lucky he wasn't fighting mayweather Floyd is the best counterpuncher in the game.

One thing we can be sure of, Pacquiao ain't gonna cry about it for years, begging for a return bout, wearing T-shirts proclaiming "I beat Marquez three times" etc etc. He took the defeat like a man, while Marquez is claiming the victory in the most arrogant and entitled fashion possible. Whatever. Manny is going to make double the money Marquez makes in his next fight.

good post!! i'm going to give you some greens for this!!

LOL! i kidding.. i just think you're still butthurt.. that was perfect timing, catching manny coming in.. and less than 10 seconds, so if he misses there's not much time for countering from manny... you call it lucky.. i call it perfect!! watch the fight again.. he pulled that same punch back at least 3 times.. then he finally let loose.. and that's all she wrote!! and i think he's not taking another manny fight because manny wont pay him much more than the last.. so he's going to bank on bradley's latest fight creating enough buzz where their PPV fight does well enough where he actually gets a share since he's the headliner.. could result in a very good payday for a belt!!

"i dont care how much you pay him.. i want to fight him again!" and then marquez's team asking for 10 mill.. which should still leave pac 15-20.. and pac refused... so why help him make more millions when he was put on a stretcher.. get real!
