By Jake Donovan - Boxing's longest reigning active titlist Chris John returns to the ring for a featherweight title defense against Satoshi Hosono. The 12-round main event takes place Sunday morning at Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
John (48-0-2, 22KO) won an interim belt in 2003 but beat the rightful owner of the alphabet belt (Derrick Gainer) in 2005 to officially ignite a reign that is approaching eight years. The 33-year old has since made 14 straight defenses, including a controversial decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez and a pair of stateside appearances in a draw and win over Rocky Juarez.
He is currently coming off of a points win over previously unbeaten Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo last November in Singapore. [Click Here To Read More]
