    Comments Thread For: Ricardo Mayorga's MMA Debut is Pushed Back To 5/3

    Omega Promotions have announced that the MMA debut of former boxing champion Ricardo Mayorga has been pushed back to May 3rd. Mayorga will face Canadian Wesley Tiffer at the Casino Pharaohs in Managua. This announcement changes the stipulated date of April 28th. Omega says the event, headlined by Mayorga vs. Tiffer, will also have fights involving fights involved MMA fighters from different Spanish speaking countries, America and Mexico.

    I will be watching this fight. Always fun to see these boxing legends end up in a cage. The Couture-Toney fight was ridiculous.

      Was it Ray Marcer that did MMA and Kickboxing? He won that MMA fight but the first time he got kicked in the head in kickboxing he just quit?

      Mayorga is a nutcase, though, so who know how this **** will play out.

                  Sh¡t.. Why do retired 38+ yr old boxers always turn to MMA when they're washed up, after years of inactivity?.. Mayorga was once one of my favorite fighters, but now he's clearly an overweight bum just waiting to be added to the "proof" that ex-boxers don't do good in MMA... Would be nice if he could pull it off though..
