Former World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) does not appear interested in rematch, at least for the moment, with current champion Sergio Martinez.
Chavez would rather have fights with boxers who he believes will stand in front of him and fight - like WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin or WBA/WBC super middleweight titleholder Andre Ward.
"Martinez has placed too many conditions, has said many things, as always he is a bit talkative and lacks humility. There are great middleweight champions, like Golovkin. I can also fight with Andre Ward. These fights are much more interesting and I think they would present a better show for the people, so I would have to look at the possibility of making these big fights after June 22," Chavez said.
