A keen spectator at Liverpool’s Echo Arena last Saturday was Yorkshire-based promoter, Dave Coldwell, who was in attendance to oversee the progress of two of his booming stable as Chris Metcalf and Derry Mathews were in action. Also catching Coldwell’s eye was Blackpool’s Scott Cardle who prepared for his April 20th meeting with Coldwell Boxing’s Maxi Hughes by outpointing Yves Mesny over four rounds. This forthcoming Central Area title tussle between unbeaten prospects is a fascinating contest and Coldwell is confident that his man can get the verdict.
