Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that both Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs) and Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7KOs) have agreed to the financial terms for a showdown on June 22 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Broner, the WBC's champion at 135-pounds, will move up by two weight divisions to challenge Malignaggi for his WBA welterweight crown.

Broner-Malignaggi will headline a Showtime televised tripleheader.

This Showtime vs HBO ratings feud is beginning to look like a win-win situation for the fans. At least for now until GB and TR run out of intriguing match ups. With all these great fights GB has coming down the pipe starting April 20 - July, it is hard to imagine that it will go unanswered by something special from Arum to try and steal the show..

It's a win win because the dates are not that much because it obviously has been limited so people need to share now. Showtime can't give loads of dates nor money for 3 or 4 fights a year for GBP that is for sure.

broner and maglinaggi isn't a good fight. i'll be interested to see what broner does with a "world title" at 147 lbs. if they don't take hard fights it will be a shame.

I was wondering how showtime would work all those fights into their budget and this is the answer. Big, bold triple headers. I love it. After July when the GB fighters have all had their run, I suppose HBO and TR will pick it up Aug-Oct and then we will see more Triples from Showtime and GB later in the year around late Oct November DEC...
