Comments Thread For: Bradley Says Weight Loss Hurt Ability To Take a Punch

WBO welterweight king Tim Bradley (30-0 12 KOs) has had nothing but praise for Ruslan Provodnikov, whom he defeated on March 16th in Carson, CA in an early "Fight of he Year" candidate. On a recent edition of BoxingScene Radio, Bradley explained why he exchanged with the hard hitting Siberian.

"That's a good question. I had to come in there and show this guy who the boss was and I guess he showed me who was the boss," Bradley stated as he admitted that he was looking to end the fight early.

"Ruslan Provodnikov is no slouch man. You gotta give it up to him. He's a great fighter. I trained hard for this fight. I took him very seriously and I am glad I did. He's a very tough fighter. I went in there and I wanted to take him out. I'm not going to lie. I wanted to take him out and I got hurt early on," he continued. [Click Here To Read More]

Good article. I didn't know Bradley walked around at 185 after the Pac fight.

Probably the leg injury made him put a lot of weight on.

It could be true especially if he had to come down all the way from 185.

Yeah, my guess was that he was around 15 pounds heavy when those photos came out about 2 weeks before the fight. That's what I said too, the weight loss in such a short amount of time was no bueno, he'll be fine from here on out though.

Took him long enough to bring out the excuses. I could've sworn he was hurt and dropped before Provodnikov...

                    185 pounds? bull****.. Obese mofo.

                    Should stop bodybuilding.

I might believe him if he didn't have stick thin legs and said 175. but 185? lol!
