In a crossroads fight of two Mexican veterans, Juan Jose "Goofy" Montes (23-3-1, 14KOs) will face Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda (37-8-1, 29KOs) on April 13 in Ciudad Hidalgo, Mexico. Montes lost a close split decision in his last fight with Martin Casillas in January. Miranda was announced as the opponent for Puerto Rican prospect McWilliams Arroyo on April 20 in Mexico City, but promoter Hector Garcia of HG Boxing says Miranda is facing Montes.
